MANKATO (TEC News) - Mankato Area Public Schools received a donation recently for their Ready for Kindergarten Program. Steve Ray of North Mankato donated $12,800 after he set up a memorial fund in honor of his late wife who was a school teacher at Jefferson Elementary School. Jane Pappas Ray was 49-years-old when she died in 2007 of lupus and a bone marrow disorder. Her love for teaching was endless, which is why her husband set up the fund.
