Raising Minnesota's Minimum Wage

MANKATO (TEC News) – During this 2013 Legislature session, the passage of the Family Economic Security Act is on the agenda. The act would involve raising Minnesota’s minimum wage to $9.50 an hour. Children’s Defense Fund Minnesota supports the pay raise, along with other coalition groups. Brian Luepke, general manager of Taco Johns, said the pay raise would affect consumers:

The current minimum wage in Minnesota is $7.25, the same as the national rate.
