Reports Show A Rise in Influenza in Minnesota

MANKATO (TEC News), December 27 – Minnesota State Health Officials are reporting a rise in influenza activity and are urging the public to get their shot. The one emerging this year, is a strain of the H1N1 virus. Kevin Burns, Public Affairs Spokesman for Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato says that there have been no confirmed cases of the flu in the Mankato area. He said most of the people that come in have flu-like symptoms. Officials are urging anyone that is sick to stay home and rest.
