NEW ULM –Members of the New Ulm National Guard unit leave for a year-long overseas deployment this morning.
The soldiers will depart the New Ulm Armory at 11 a.m. and receive an escort from New Ulm police and fire, Patriot Guard and American Legion riders.

Residents are encouraged to give a patriotic send off to the soldiers in New Ulm.

North on Broadway from the Armory to 7th North (Hwy 15/14), back south through downtown New Ulm on Minnesota to 1st South. Back to Broadway, heading south out of town to 20th South (HyVee intersection).
