MANKATO November 14, 2012 (KMKO) – Winter driving is coming…whether we want it or not. The Mankato Department of Public Safety asks drivers to be prepared in advance. Deputy Director Jeff Bengtson offers several tips to make you winter driving as safe as possible. He says clear snow from hoods and windshields, to allow windows to defrost, have a winter survival kit, watch out for black ice, stay back from plows, allow extra time, and check road conditions before you leave.
