Carpool Karaoke For a Cause

A British man is raising money and awareness to the Alzheimer’s Society by showing off his father’s amazing singing voice.  Simon McDermott and his father, Ted McDermott, record videos of themselves singing duets Carpool Karaoke style and then share them on YouTube. Ted suffers from Alzheimer’s and, despite his many daily challenges, can still sing as well as he could when he was a young man.  Ted used to tour around the UK singing in clubs when he was younger and Simon says his dad becomes reinvigorated whenever he hears music. The videos have become so popular, mostly because of Ted’s amazing voice, so Simon has turned it into a way to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which he says has provided so much assistance to his family as they try to cope with the horrible disease.  So far, the videos have helped raise more than $74,000.  Watch the video, it’s one of the sweetest things you’ll see all week!
