On Monday, 17-year-old aspiring singer Anthony Gargiula tweeted, “My grandparents have been married for 52 years and they match outfits every day,” along with a few photos of his elders in similar duds. The post quickly went viral. CNN caught up with Gargiula, who informed them that his grandparents, Ed and Fran Gargiula, began wearing matching outfits to square dances a few years ago, then just started doing it all the time. Moreover, Anthony’s grandpa texts him every morning with a photo of their “outfit of the day”–including an especially sharp “bumblebee” ensemble in which the septuagenarians wore opposing yellow and black pants and shirts. “They personify being grandparents and being a couple,” says Anthony’s dad.
