MANKATO – A concerned parent and some posts on Facebook has resulted in a Janesville man being charged with failing to report an injury accident last March.
19-year-old Joshua Wieland of Janesville was behind the wheel of a pickup truck that lost control on County Road 18 and rolled several times.
Two girls went to the hospital for treatment, but told hospital staff they were hurt on an ATV.
The parent of another passenger tipped off police.
Investigators went to the Facebook pages of those involved and found comments about the crash and photos of the truck.
