What is the most popular diamond shape?
The Round Brilliant continues to be the favorite!  Most of ours are imported directly from our master diamond cutters in Antwerp, Belgium.  These artists cut our stones to exact proportions for maximum fire and brilliance.   From our newest collection  comes the Passion Cut Diamond.    This is a  modified round brilliant cut to ideal proportions with additional facets to create superior brilliance and scintillation, so most of our clients are drawn to it.  Many people ask for the  Princess cut, square in shape, and if well proportioned, the Princess is an elegant and beautiful look.  Other popular shapes include marquise, oval, pear, and heart.
 
How far ahead should we order the ladies'  band and men's ring before the wedding?
We  like to see you approximately a month before the wedding date.  It doesn't usually take that long, but in the case of a custom  wedding band we need a little extra time to guide you through the process step by step and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. 
 
Do you wear the wedding band in front of or behind the engagement ring?
The ladies wedding band is worn behind the engagement ring - as the saying goes, "closest to the heart".
 
What is your warranty on engagement rings?
  Your selection includes a free lifetime limited  warranty against manufacturing defects, as well as  a guarantee against loss of diamonds from the mounting, for the life of the ring.  It also includes a  five year maintenance plan, free of charge, to guarantee the security of your diamond or ring itself.  We must clean and inspect your ring (no charge, of course!) every 6 months,  we must sign and date the warranty papers,  and the piece must be kept in good repair, to keep the guarantee valid. A few limitations do apply.  Read the full warranty at pattersonsdiamondcenter.com or at either of our locations.  We do suggest insuring your ring(s), generally on a homeowner or rental policy.  This is inexpensive, and protects you against loss or theft of your jewelry.
 
Do you have any trade up options?
Yes, your diamond engagement ring, or center diamond, may be traded in towards the purchase of a diamond of significantly greater value for the lifetime of the ring.  You will receive  the full value  that you paid initially towards the new purchase.
 
What are your payment options?
We accept cash or check payments along with any major credit card.  We also offer  GE Luxury  financing, a type of in-house card, to qualified clients.  It offers multiple options; the most popular  is a  12 -month no- interest, no money down plan. which requires a minimum (3% of price) monthly payment each month for the interest-free term.(  Ex: If your purchase came to $2,500.00, your monthly payment would be $75.00.)  Approval is quick and easy!
 
Do you have to send the ring out of the store to have work done on it?
No, one of the most important benefits to working with us is our in- house repair service..  We pride ourselves on our quality craftsmanship.  We do all of our own sizing, stone setting, soldering and much more in- house.  You do not need to wait long for your ring or worry about it being shipped out.
 
Do you do any custom work?
Yes,  our custom pieces  are among our most exciting.  We have been designing and creating our own jewelry for almost 30 years.  And with all the styles and ideas that are out there, nobody wants what everyone one else has.  If you want a truly unique design we will work with you to meet your expectations!
