MANKATO – A 71-year-old Pelican Rapids man is dead after he was found under the water Sunday in a hotel pool in Mankato. When authorities arrived at the Fairfield Inn around 6pm they found Dewayne Ludwig had been pulled from the pool and CPR was being administered.
Further rescue attempts by EMS failed and Ludwig was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
Foul play is not suspected.
