NORTH MANKATO – Two people on motorcycles were killed Wednesday morning on Highway 14 just west of North Mankato.
The State Patrol says a teenage drive of a pickup truck fell asleep and crossed the centerline.
The pickup struck the motorcycles and a trailing car head-on.
One motorcyclist was dead at the scene, while the other died at a hospital.
The driver of the car was airlifted to a Rochester hospital and the pickup driver was taken to Mayo Hospital in Mankato.
No names have been released.
