NEW ULM (TEC News) – A 76-year-old Sleepy Eye woman is dead after an unusual accident Saturday morning west of New Ulm.
Brown County Sheriff officials say 72-year-old Marion Romberg of Sleepy Eye was westbound on County Road 29 when she missed a turn, put her car in reverse and started backing up in the westbound lane.
A passenger in her car, 76-year-old Joann Schroeder of Sleepy Eye was killed when a westbound car driven-by a New Ulm woman rear-ended the car.
