NORTH MANKATO (TEC News) – The North Mankato city council has voted against a proposed $1 million dollar noise wall on the south side of Highway 14.
MnDOT would have passed along the cost of the wall to the city and in turn the city would have assessed property owners.
Noise levels already exceed state standards and a planned four-lane expansion could raise those noise levels even higher.
