MANKATO (TEC News) -- A Lakeville man was arrested early Friday morning after Mankato police spotted him traipsing through Highland Park carrying a street sign.

When the officer on patrol spotted 20-year-old Justin Thomas Torseth around 12:30 a.m., the man started running but stopped when ordered to by the officer.

Police arrested Torseth without incident and took him to jail on suspicion of theft and underage consumption.

The police report didn't say what kind of sign it was.
