Munt Says "IT" Killed My Wife
MANKATO (TEC News) - Joel Munt took the stand at his murder trial Wednesday and admitted to watching his ex-wife being shot in front of their children.
But he says he didn't shoot her.
"It" shot her.
He told the jury that as he drove down the entrance road at Rasmussen Wood he was "ejected" from his body and was just a "spectator". Munt told the jury he re-entered his body when "it" was in the back of a squad car.
The jury will likely begin deliberating the Joel Munt murder case Thursday morning or early afternoon.
Both sides rested their case Wednesday afternoon. Closing arguments are Thursday morning.
If Munt is found guilty of the murder of Svetlana Munt, the mental illness phase of the trial would start on Monday.
