Blue Earth County Commissioners Pause To Remember More

MANKATO (TEC News) -- Blue Earth County Commissioners this morning observed a moment of silence to honor Alvis More.

The former county commissioner died Monday afternoon when his tractor became engulfed in flames while trying to control a trash fire that got out of control on his farm near Mapleton.

More served on the Blue Earth County Board from 1989 through 2002.

“On behalf of the Blue Earth County Board, we express our deepest sympathy to the family of Commissioner More.  We are grateful for his years of public service to the citizens of Blue Earth County and our organization.  Even after his time on the board he remained engaged with the organization and often attended special events for the County.  He will be missed,” stated Kip Bruender, Board Chair.
