Second Man Reports Being Shot By BB Gun

MANKATO (TEC News) -- Assailants with a BB gun broke windows and even shot a homeowner in the hip during a pair of incidents around midnight Friday in Mankato near the University Mobile Home Park.
Residents of an apartment in the 1800 block of Monks called police just before midnight after their sliding glass door took a pair of BB shots causing around $500 in damage.
Police say one of the occupants went outside to investigate and was struck in the right rear hip. He was not injured.
About 20 minutes later, police responded to the 500 block of South Shakespeare after a living room window was hit by a BB.
Police have no suspects and suspect the two incidents may be related.
Authorities were not able to say if these BB gun shootings were connected to one a week earlier in the Southhaven Mobile Home Park where a 19-year-old man was shot in the head.
While the injury was not serious, the man had to go to a Mankato hospital to have the BB removed.
In that case the victim reported three dark skinned males in a Chevy Impala (2002-2006). The suspect holding the gun was wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Any information on any of the cases can call Mankato police at 507-387-8780.
