MANKATO (TEC News) -- 12 felony burglary counts have been filed against a Mankato man for his role in the burglary last month of multiple campers at the Lone Pine Resort in Madison Lake.
26-year-old Ricky Allen-Michael Northrup was among three men linked to the burglaries after one of the men pawned off an unusual brand of TV at a pawn shop.
One of the TVs stolen was an unusual brand, a "Naxa". Investigators say only six Naxa brand TVs had been pawned in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. One of them was pawned off by a Blue Earth County man with a local burglary conviction.
And tipsters told police that man was bragging after reports about the break-ins were reported on local news.
Northrop is also accused of selling 32 pounds of stolen copper for $67 at a local business. In addition, one of the other suspects sold of 221 pounds of aluminum for $22.
The aluminum allegedly came from awning poles taken in the burglaries.
There are seven different files, each relating to a different camper burglary.
A TV and power cord were taken from one camper. A second camper had a 50 foot power cord stolen. A third camper was missing DVD player, walkie-talkies and a plastic tote. A fourth camper was missing fishing lures, rods, reels and a soft-side tackle box. A fifth camper had a their extension cord cut off their camper. The sixth camper was missing $500 camopy poles. And the seventh camper was missing the "NAXA" brand TV/VCR combo.
