Clinic Says No Patient Information On Stolen Computers

MANKATO (TEC News) -- Mankato Clinic officials today said the computers stolen earlier this month from a secure area in their East Main location in Mankato did not have any "protected patient information" on them.

Director of Public Relations Marcia Bahr says computers at the Mankato Clinic have "3 to 4 layers of protection."

Bahr says all computers are password protected and are encrypted.  She also says clinic computers have a "search and destroy" feature incase someone tries to improperly access a hard drive.

Police recovered the stolen computers and arrested on man over the weekend.
