Computers Stolen From Mankato Clinic Recovered

MANKATO (TEC News) -- Formal charges have yet to be filed against a Madison Lake man arrested over the weekend for allegedly stealing four tablet computers from the Mankato Clinic location on East Main.

21-year-old David Allen Marxen was identified as a suspect in the theft of computers between January 6-9 off video surveillance.

According to Police Commander Dan Schisel,  Marxen turned himself and the computers over to police on Saturday. The were taken from a "secure area" in the clinic.

After he was interviewed by investigators, he was arrested and jailed over the weekend.

The computers had a value of $10,000.

Because the computer were taken from a "secure area", Schisel say it's possible Marxen could be charged with burglary, as opposed to theft.
