MANKATO (TEC News) -- Three area men find themselves in some serious trouble after stealing a vehicle from the parking lot of a Mankato apartment complex.Mankato police were called the parking lot of the Highland Hills apartments at 1551 Monks Ave just before 3 a.m. Saturday.
A man told police he had started his Jeep around 2:40 a.m. and left it running unattended. When he returned at 2:56 a.m. the vehicle was gone.
While at the scene, another officer located the missing vehicle pulling into the parking lot from another entrance.
Officers arrested three men in the vehicle at gunpoint.
Facing charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Underage Consumption and 4th Degree DWI is Christian Evers, 20, of New Ulm.
A pair of passengers, Joshua Ristow, 20, of Fairfax and Nathan Kruschel, 20, of Redwood Falls were also arrested on charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Underage Consumption.
