Judge Rules Nibbe Murder Confession Will Stand

MANKATO (TEC News) -- The jailhouse murder confession of Jennifer Lee Nibbe will stand according to her sister.

Leslie Nibbe Johnson posted on her Facebook page that the judges order is in and her confession will NOT be withheld from the jury during her trial.

Jennifer Nibbe is accused of shooting her husband James while he slept in the couple's rural Lake Crystal home. The judge's order was filed late Tuesday afternoon.

A check this morning of the court's Register of Actions confirms Judge Bradley Walker filed his omnibus order on Tuesday.

Nibbe's defense attorney Richard Hillesheim argued the confession to BCA agents should be thrown out because she already had an attorney. However, Nibbe herself summoned detective to the BEC Jail to talk and was re-read Miranda before admitting to the shooting.

DEVELOPING STORY.
