MANKATO (TEC News) -- Investigators say a fire Saturday night at a Homestead Drive apartment building in Mankato was arson.

The fire was contained to an entry way, damages were minor, estimated at $1,500.

There was minor smoke damage extendingup a staircast to the second floor.

A fire alarm syster, automatically closing fire door and quick notificaiton prevented the fire from spreading and allowed firefighters to quickly qxtinguish it.
