Mankato City Council Recap

MANKATO (TEC News) -- The Mankato City Council has ordered Xcel Energy to bury their power lines during this year's reconstruction of Madison Avenue.

If Xcel Energy won't pay for the $656,000 project, the city will borrow money to pay for it, rather than place a surcharge on the bills of Mankato's Xcel customers.
Property Owers Will Be Assessed For Costs
The city council also approved the preliminary assessment list for the Madison Avenue Project. Property owners will be assessed over $1.067 million dollars.

Assessments range from a couple hundred dollars to over $40,000. They can be paid off over 10 to 15 years installments at 4% interest.
Roundabout Part Of Stadium Road Realingment Project

Mankato Police Cruisers Will Have A New Look
