Mankato (KMKO)-The Mankato City Council will consider several resolutions at tonight's meeting, but two of them stand apart.  One gives notice of intent to discontinue the city's tax levy for library funding. The city and Blue Earth County have not been able to reach a joint powers agreement, so city officials are considering a plan to hand over the half million dollar annual price tag to the county.  Another resolution would give the go-ahead for the preparation of a grant request to the State of Minnesota to fund the Verizon Wireless Center expansion project.  There are several other cities vying for a piece of the $47.5 million public infrastructure bill approved by the legislature.  The recipients would be required to match any grant money received, meaning the city of Mankato would need to come up with $14.5 million it's expected to apply for.  The city council is expected to vote on both resolutions at tonight's meeting, which gets underway at 7:00.
