Hundreds Nabbed in Seat Belt Sweep



Mankato (KMKO)-State troopers in the Mankato area stayed busy during the recent Click it or Ticket campaign.  According to the Minnesota State Patrol office in Mankato, troopers issued 315 seat belt citations and 77 warnings during the campaign, which ran May 21st through June third.  Statewide, more than 12,000 motorists were cited for not wearing seat belts.  A study conducted by the University of Minnesota found the primary seat belt law has resulted in 68 fewer deaths since the law was enacted three years ago.
