Mankato (KMKO)-The Mankato Area Public School Board approved the preliminary budget for the 2012-2013 school year at last night's meeting. Superintendent Sheri Allen and the rest of the board were pleased with the 2.9% increase in the estimated revenue numbers. Estimated expenditures for next year run close to $90 million. Details will be ironed out and the board will move to vote again to close out the actual budget by June 30th.
