Mankato (KMKO)-Charges are pending against a Mankato man suspected in a hit-and-run last week.  Police received information last Thursday night about a car that left the road and hit a large, lighted city center sign at the corner of Riverfront Drive and Hickory Street.  Officers found the vehicle early Friday morning and the driver admitted to hitting the sign.  Charges of careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident are being requested on Bashir Ahmed Ali.  There's no word on any injuries in the incident.
