North Mankato (KMKO)-Gas prices are on the way down in the Mankato area, but are still above the Minnesota and national average.  Pump prices in North Mankato and Mankato yesterday were $3.53 per gallon.  The Minnesota average was $3.51 and the national average is $3.42 a gallon.  Gas prices across the state yesterday ranged from $3.29 in Coon Rapids to $3.98 at one station in North St. Paul.  One year ago, Minnesota's average price was $3.51 a gallon, the same as yesterday.
