MANKATO - July 25, 2012 - (KMKO) --An 8-year-old Mankato native has registered for the Mankato Half Marathon set for October. Jaiden Landsom has been participating in running events since she was six and even set a record for her age bracket at the 8K run in St. Peter, two years ago. Jaiden won't be running this race alone, though. A bet between her and her aunt was that she'd run the Mankato 10K in under an hour. She never had before, but ended up blowing it out of the water. She's ran anything from a 5k to a 12K. This will be her first shot at the half marathon on October 21.
