MANKATO (KMKO) – The Farm Service Agency has authorized emergency haying of Conservation Reserve Program acres in 70 Minnesota counties. The emergency declaration is in response to drought conditions and will be from August 2nd through August 31st. CRP land used for emergency haying will have payments dropped from 25 percent to 10 percent. There are more rules. Producers are encouraged to contact their local FSA office for details.
