NORTH MANKATO-August 16, 2012-(KMKO)-A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday to mark the opening of the Caswell North Soccer Complex in North Mankato.  The new facility is next to the Caswell Park softball complex.  The new soccer fields are a joint effort of the city, Mankato United Soccer Club and the Mankato Area Public School District, which donated the land.  The complex includes a "premier field" for Mankato and Loyola soccer teams, two other regulation-size fields, three small fields for the youngest players and four mid-size fields.  The first games are expected to be played in 2014.
