MANKATO-August 20, 2012-(KMKO)-Minneopa State Park is sponsoring a canoe outing this Saturday.  Starting at 10:00 am, you can take a nine mile paddle on the Minnesota River from Mankato’s River View Park boat ramp to Seven Mile Creek Park boat access point.  Park officials will lead the paddle and provide the canoes, life jackets and paddles.  You will need to provide your own transportation to the put-in point.  On this stretch of the Minnesota River, the journey we will be in a mostly northern direction through a forested floodplain.  Prior reservation is required.
