ARLINGTON-August 22, 2012-(KMKO)-A nursing home resident in Arlington was mistakenly left unattended in his bathroom, then fell and broke his hip while trying to walk back to bed and died soon after.  That information comes from an investigative report on the July, 2011 incident.  The Health Department cited a nurse at Good Samaritan Society Arlington in Sibley County for giving the resident his call light, then leaving him on the toilet.  Another staff member entered his room and saw the resident fall as he was heading back to bed, the report added. The reported noted that the man had a history of falling and often used a wheelchair.  The man broke his hip, then died sometime before investigators visited the nursing home three weeks later.
