MANKATO August 27, 2012 – The Minnesota Court of Appeals has ruled that a Blue Earth County judge erroneously concluded that a wife’s property was premarital during the couple’s second divorce from each other.Susan Hage sued Sleiman Hage because Judge Kurt Johnson had ruled that her parents farm was marital property and should be split.
According to the court, the Hage’s were marries in 1981, divorced in 1985, remarried in 2006 and Susan filed for divorce again in 2010.
Susan Hage claimed the property was half willed to her when her parents died in 2009.
The court ruled that the deed for the property was conveyed to Susan and to her sister.
The court also says that Susan Hage works and Sleiman is unemployed and is not entitled to spousal support.
