MANKATO-August 28, 2012-(KMKO)-A Mankato man faces numerous charges after allegedly trying to run over a security guard Friday morning.  The incident happened in a parking lot in the area of Briargate Road and Monks Avenue.  A guard told police he noticed 20-year-old Miller Winston Crawford driving too fast in the parking lot and told him to slow down.  A few minutes later, Crawford's vehicle struck the guard in the leg and hand.  He was charged yesterday with one count of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of criminal vehicular homicide or operation and one count of failing to stop.  If convicted on all charges, Crawford faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
