MANKATO-August 29, 2012-(KMKO)-Mankato’s Night to Unite was a big success last night, with close to 50 parties.  The purpose of the annual event is to get neighbors together to talk about ways to make the community safer.  Several dozen people turned out for a party hosted by the Washington Park Neighborhood Association.  Three locations were certified as crime-free multi-housing properties yesterday.  Downtowners Apartments, Washington Park at 215 North Fourth Street, Park Place Townhomes at 281 Butterworth Street and Steve and Avis Woehrle at 102 South Fifth Street join ten other Mankato properties in the program.
