MANKATO September 5, 2012 (KMKO) – The budget for Verizon Wireless Civic is only balanced because of the extra tax on food, beverage and entertainment.
 
That’s according to the budget summary by Mankato City Manager Pat Hentges.
 
He adds on major expense for the civic center, without state help, is the $3.6 million dollars needed to replace the “ice floor.”
 
The good news is that despite the recession, revenue continues to grow, and there is talk about beginning planning for another air show in 2015.
