MANKATO-September 10, 2012-(KMKO)-The Mankato City Council may vote on a maximum property tax levy of 2.63% at tonight's meeting. The general fund levy has been presented at $9,434,750. The preliminary tax levy must be approved by September 15th. In other business tonight, the council will vote on a resolution authorizing City Manager Pat Hentges to enter into a shared human resources agreement with Blue Earth County. Officials say they have identified a more effective and efficient delivery through expanding the scope of shared services. Tonight's meeting begins at 7:00.
