MANKATO-September 12, 2012-(KMKO)-The Blue Earth County Board has approved the preliminary county budget for 2013.  The $77,744,239 budget was approved on a unanimous vote at yesterday's meeting.  The board also voted for a 3.99% property tax levy.  The 1.6% increase was due in large part to the county's assuming control of the library system.
