Boomtown Busted for Violations
MANKATO-September 25, 2012-(KMKO)-The Mankato City Council has suspended the liquor license of a popular bar because of repeated violations of city ordinance. The council voted unanimously to suspend the license of Boomtown for four days, October 31st through November third. The bar, which is popular among MSU students, is located on Warren Street near Stadium Road. The owner of the business may appeal the decision. City Manager Pat Hentges updated the council on road construction projects and the civic center. He has been in contact with the governor's office on the civic center funding issue and says MSU needs to take the lead in negotiations.
