Mankato Man Sentenced for Robbery
MANKATO-October 11, 2012-(KMKO)-A now 20-year-old North Mankato man who was charged with helping three other men in the 2010 robbery of the Wendy's restaurant in Mankato has been sentenced. Kamau Evans, who was a teen at the time, was placed on five years probation and ordered to pay restitution. He was given credit for 13 days served in jail and had his prison term stayed for the duration of probation. As an alleged predatory offender, Evans now faces a felony charge for not registering as required and will go on trial on the charge in January.
