MANKATO-October 22, 2012-(KMKO)-Beginning today, the Minnesota River Trail (from Lake Street to Highway 14) will close for brush clearing.  Brush removal ensures the flood control system is fully operational. The trail is expected to reopen Thursday.  This is expected to be the last week of brush burning, which is approved by the DNR and is the most cost-effective way to dispose of brush.
