South Central American Red Cross heads to New York
MANKATO-October 31, 2012-(KMKO)--Hurricane Sandy has pummeled its way into the northern and mid east coast area. Many casualties have been reported as well as home losses. The American Red Cross is on board to aid these people with the basics. South Central Minnesota crews are currently on their way to New York to supply food, shelter and emergency kits. The Red Cross is reaching out for donations. Sandy’s winds had stretched to about 1,100 miles from end to end. According to the National Hurricane Center this is the largest tropical storm system on record.
