The forecast calls for another 3 to 5 inches of snow locally before 3 p.m. After that, the winds are expected to pick up, causing without conditions at times.
Other snowfalls this morning range from just 1.2 inches in Minnesota Lake and 6 inches to the north in Hutchinson.
That has prompted the NWS to call for a Blizzard Warning in the following counties: Nicollet, Brown, Redwood, Renville, and Sibley until 7:30 p.m. Also until that time a Winter Storm Warning has been issues for LeSueur County and a Winter Weather Advisory has been called for the following counties: Blue Earth, Waseca, and Waseca Counties.
The area is forecast to have a low of 1 degree, with wind chills of minus 2 to minus 12.
