MANKATO (TEC News) – A Mankato man was sentenced yesterday on two files including a 5th degree drug possession charge. 32-year-old Jeremy James Hansen received 3 years and must have a Center for Disease Control evaluation after his release and following his probation. Details of the incident can be found on our websites. On Feb. 21, police were dispatched to Owatonna Street in Mankato for a violation of a domestic abuse no contact order. The order prohibited Hansen from contacting Amber Murilla. She told the police Hansen wasn’t at her residence, but he was found hiding under clothes in the basement. Murilla said she needed him to babysit their child, so she could work. The judge removed the DANCO yesterday because Murilla gave birth to another of Hansen’s children yesterday. However, he might not be able to see the child if Murilla’s file forbids it. During sentencing, Hansen told the judge he could guarantee he wouldn’t be back in court again so quickly. The judge said he thought Hansen had told him that before.
