MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (TEC News) - It was released early this morning that there are no deaths in the Washington bridge collapse that occurred last night. Around 7 p.m. the Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River in Mount Vernon, Wash. gave way, sending a few vehicles into the water. Authorities said there was no indication that any major injuries happened as a result and that three people were accounted for after the collapse. Road officials said that it's "unclear what caused the collapse." Investigations continue.
