Storm System Blows Through Midwest

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (TEC News), October 7 – A large storm system blew through Colorado and Wyoming on Friday leaving them with lots of snow, but by the time it hit Nebraska and Iowa, tornadoes formed. The National Weather Service is still looking at surveys of the area and trying to determine the number that touched down. The Sioux City Journal indicated there could be at least 10 to 11 confirmed touch downs. The National Weather Service rated most of the twisters in Iowa an EF-2 while Nebraska’s were at an EF-4. The American Red Cross in the South Central Region sent out volunteers to help with the situation.
