Winter Weather Advisory in Effect: 9 p.m.-6 a.m.



NICOLLET COUNTY (TEC News), December 3 – A winter storm warning was issued this morning that will run from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The National Weather Service is predicting snow accumulations around 6 inches. ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: AROUND 6 INCHES. * TIMING: OCCASIONAL LIGHT SNOW TODAY WILL BECOME STEADIER TONIGHT AND HEAVY AT TIMES BY WEDNESDAY. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF WEDNESDAY EVENING. NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE AND BECOME GUSTY WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE GUSTY WINDS WILL PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS. * IMPACTS: TRAVEL WILL BECOME DIFFICULT LATE TUESDAY NIGHT AND DANGEROUS ON WEDNESDAY. THE WEDNESDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON COMMUTES ARE EXPECTED TO BE GREATLY IMPACTED. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
