GPS Monitoring Bill for Domestic Abuse Victims Passed [AUDIO]

MANKATO (TEC News), May 14 – The GPS monitoring system bill, authored by Rep. Clark Johnson (DFL-North Mankato), was passed through both parties yesterday. This bill allows judicial districts the option to use GPS programs to protect victims of domestic abuse by alerting authorities when offenders are too close to their victims. “Well I’m feeling good about a unanimous vote in both the senate and the house for the GPS bill. I worked really hard on this; it came from a citizen in our area and really responds to a need for a need to protect victims of domestic violence.”
The bill now goes to the governor for his signature.
